Assistant Principal: 5th - 8th Grade

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back Jaguars! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer and are ready to start the new school year.  I am excited to reconnect with our returning students and families, and to our new jaguars, I look forward to meeting you. I welcome your input and value your positive energy and dedication as we partner together to build an amazing learning community for your child(ren). As assistant principal, my focus continues to be on strengthening the home and school relationship.   Parent involvement is key to student success and last year we had a record number of parents participating via Class Dojo.  I invite you again, this year, to get connected to our school through this free application.  Additionally, our team will provide a quarterly newsletter to keep you well informed of the parent workshops and upcoming school events.

Our 5th-8th grade staff has worked diligently to provide an array of engaging and challenging learning opportunities for our middle school students.  They are preparing their classrooms and lesson plans to make certain this school year is productive and stimulating.  One component to this is IXL, which is a personalized learning website that provides continuous diagnostic information to help teachers pinpoint student strengths and weaknesses. We celebrate successes regularly, provide continuous encouragement for students not operating at their highest level, and utilize this technology to guide instruction as we remain committed to student achievement.

As you may know, the middle school years are critical times of development, and it is our goal to ensure that all students feel secure, cared for, and respected. To assist us in achieving this goal, our 7th and 8th grade students will have the privilege of participating in the Teen Outreach Program, facilitated by the Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative and the City of Vineland Department of Health.  This program will provide weekly lessons on key topics proven to promote positive youth development. More information regarding this new program will be forthcoming.

Here’s to another great year at Fairfield Township School! Jaguar Pride!
